I have yet to finish watching Pan Am’s series premiere episode, and then I got this in the (snail) mail:
Now, I must admit this is VERY smart advertising, because it hits their target clientele (those late baby boomers who still remember postcards AND Pan Am) right on. Perhaps direct mail still works, and perhaps I should give Pan Am (the TV series) a second chance.

Stumbled upon this video the other day at Vimeo. Kind of interesting to see how Toronto was seen through the eyes of a German tourist, in just 4 minutes and 37 seconds.

I shamefully missed the news when John Peel died; his funeral was held today. My deepest thank to him for bringing so much good music, incl. that of the Undertones and the Smiths among others, to my youthful days.
